Product Details
Our cutting boards are crafted in Calgary from high-quality hardwood and finished with organic fractionated coconut oil and carnauba wax.
Imperfect boards are discounted due to slight imperfections. The functionality is not compromised, but they may have small cracks (that have been filled with the safest glue on the market), surface imperfections or a slightly uneven surface or small warp.

Board are 0.9" thick and sizes are approximate:
- Small (12x7" (~80-90 square inches))
- Medium (14x8" (~98-112 square inches))
- Large (17x9" (~140-150 square inches))
- Extra Large: 16x11x1.5" (extra thick premium lumber)

Thick, flat, and gorgeous on my walnut Butcher block.
I think the price for a solid piece of maple is a steal, and the “flaws” aren’t perceived as flaws to me!
If we're going to preach sustainability, we can't just chuck everything that has a tiny flaw. I was so happy to see larch life selling these boards as is, and was happy to get a discount on an awesome product! I was lucky to snag one of the large ones, and it's a great size. Definitely pretty in my kitchen and feels good to use it too :)
Very happy with this ‘imperfect’ large size cutting board. The 11x15” size is very versatile and the board has no flaws to my eye except a slight variation in thickness on one underside edge. It is so beautiful it took me a few to dare sully it. However I am
so happy to stop using my gouged plastic boards. I will be looking to LarchLife again for more products in future.
I bought a “discounted” board from Larch Life and honestly I cannot even tell how it’s imperfect. I love that it’s solid maple and not glued with possibly toxic glue. It’s pretty too! Such great value for a cutting board - even if I paid the normal full price. 10/10 recommend this board
